This ROM hack of Mega Man 2 has been out for awhile, but it's only now that I've tried it. To use this, you have to open the MM2 ROM on your emulator, then open up the ROM hack.
Basically, it's Mega Man 2, but with the Angry Video Game Nerd, and the levels are redesigned to be obnoxiously hard. Some are so obnoxiously hard, that they would make Mega Man X6 cringe. Loads of pits are added, and several jumps now requires exacting pixel perfect precision. In many areas the ceiling is now so low, that making a jump is just barely possible. Quite frankly, the only way to survive is to make ample use save states. That, and get used to hearing the death sound over and over.
Other than the novelty of playing as The Nerd, there's really not much else to say here. If you thought MM2 wasn't hard enough, then this is for you. Myself, I think I'll pick something more easygoing, such as Mega Man X6. (yes, I just said that)
I... enjoyed Mega Man X6. My main complaint was that the story felt rushed; not just the poor translation job but the underlying story. It isn't my favorite X series game (that would be X4, though I've only played X1-6), and while it can be annoyingly hard... that's the Mega Man franchise as I know it. XD
Still, thanks for the heads up.

That is pretty hardcore stuff here. Serious F bomb material as the Nerd would place it. X6 was pretty disorganized stage layout wise, but thinking about it more deeply. Perhaps the creators at the time were thinking of how jacked up the world was. I mean being hit with a colony could do some pretty messed up things. But thinking more, it was just rushed. Honestly how could you mistake a jump in Gates lab? If you've gone there with the Shadow Armor you know what I'm talking about. Though an easy bug to exploit with the right conditions. A lot in the game just messed with you.
Thanks for the share though, I'll have to give this a run when I get more time.
