Since the pal versions of the ps1-ps2 era Mega Man X games are out of print, in the middle of bidding for the NTSC version of the Anniversary collection through a auction, A lot of the stuff I read about playing NTSC games on PAL console, almost all of them lead to using a version of Swapmagic or Action Replay Max 2, it already expansive enough paying for the game since I'm importing it into Australia and I'll have to wait until the end of the month before I can get it, I don't want to invest anymore money into it, are there cheaper alternatives to swap magic or a way to modify the ps2 firmware to allow for NTSC game?
