I agree with Zan. They resolved the arc quite nicely, however I am now more interrested how Blues will act in the Megaman 3 Arc. I only wish there was more backstory to Rockman 3...

Man, this place is dead. I'll try a whip up a little mini-review. *SPOILERS FOR ISSUE 39* Getting my hands on issue 39, I couldn't wait to see what was gonna happen next to the Two Blue Bombers. Opening the first page has Megaman raising his buster as he stares at the Wily Walker, asking the docs what to do. Pharaohman and Brightman provide covering fire and the fight continues. Wily is taking delight in Megaman getting destroyed, and possibly getting one step further to his "master plan". Dr, Light snaps Wily out those delightful thoughts and asks if he managed to get in contact with any of the Original Robot Masters to help with the situation. Wily says they're busy(He pretty much hangs up the second he calls them). In the meantime, Thomas is trying to whip up something to aid Megaman in the fight, while being assisted by Roll. As he helps Light, Dr Cossack continues to argue Wily's faults about putting chemical weapons on the Walker. Albert pretty much brushes off Cossacks words and tells him to quit nagging him. He also points out that Cossack didn't weaponize Brightman, who could be of more help in the situation. Cossack doesn't like the idea of putting guns on his Robot Masters, but Wily calls him a hypocrite for weaponizing Pharaohman. Seeing as how he was verbally served, Light agrees with Wily and says any weaponized modification could always have been removed later(Way to add a lemons juice to the wound, Tom...). And that's pretty much all for the present this issue. For now we go to... The Future... AGAIN! Zero, Vile, and the rest of their units retaliate against the Ancient Mechanaloid. The Walker scans Zero and... Ignores him. Hmmm!!! HMMMM!!! What does that mean? Well, Zero won't have it. After Vile gets blasted, Zero fires at the mechanical walker. A secondary scan on the red reploid marks Zero as hostile and fires at him. Zero smirks, and says he's sorry for sending X away to miss all the fun. Back with Dr. Cain, X fires at some rubble that falls straight at the pit-helmeted Doc. After being rescued, the down hearted doctor continues to blame himself for letting the Walker loose. While playing with the mini-capsule he found last issue, it lights up and plays a recorded message. The scratchy voice explains that there are chemical weapons on the Murder Machine. With this new horror discovered, X teleports to the surface to warn Zero and Vile not to destroy the machine. As Zero contemplates with X on how to take care of the situation, Vile comes up with a superb idea! Blow up the highway over the Walker and have the debris fall on it to slow it down. ... Yay? As a dangling Xander hangs on for his dear life(Oh yeah, he's in the future, isn't he?) Zero flips his lid on Vile. Vile pretty much shrugs off Zero's "I'm telling Sigma on you!" and says he did it so the huge Mechaniloid Maverick couldn't harm any other people. As the two Hunters scramble to get at the Machine, Zero has X tend to the people on the collapsed Highway. X does his best to help those who were caught in the exploded area(Thanks for making the job harder, Vile). With some reploids damaged trying to help, some humans didn't survive the blast(Again, THANKS Vile!). Xander loses his grip and falls, only to have X save him. A shocked Xander is horrified, as he see's a familiar Blue Bomber in the one that just saved him. When he should be given a "Thank you" X is horrified himself (That's a great "Kyaaa" face, X...) as Xander yells at the confused reploid. X recognizes the Symbol on Xanders eye-patch as the Emerald Spears logo and pegs Xander as one of the Robo-hating terrorists. Xander takes delight in knowing that the Spears still survive in the future, even one hundred years later. As the diluted fruit cake gets arrested and taken away, X wonders if anyone will remember Vile's vile action on the highway. Meanwhile the rescued people on the Bee Blader ask how Xander managed to get arrested during the chaos. Pink electricity sizzle's around Xander's body, which pretty much says he's heading back to the past. Xander makes sure the people of this time listen to one of his deluded rants about how he'll save humanity from the robots of the future, and then disappears. Sigma meets up with Dr. Cain and with his advanced Reploid eyesight, he reads the blueprints of the Old War Machine that appear from the mini-capsule. And just in time, as the capsule looses all it's power. Sigma reassures Dr. Cain that he'll take care of the Ancient Mechanaloid and make things right. Zero and Vile blast at the Walker with a little bit of help from X. Sigma arrives at the scene and the 4 Reploids strike a pose! Sigma unsheathes his sabre, takes off his cloak and says he'll disable the Giant Robot once and for all.
So this issue was pretty much awesome. We don't get much time with Megaman, but that's okay. It gives us plenty of pages to see how the X universe characters are portrayed. X worries that the destruction caused by Vile will go unnoticed, showing that he's a reploid that worries on others' actions. It was interesting to see Wily Walker ignore Zero, possibly labeling him as one of Dr. Wily's other creations. Vile is the jerk we expected him to be. He tells others to mind they're own business and shows no regard for anyone's life whatsoever; Human or Reploid. Sigma shows that he can be a bad-ass, as he arrives on the scene to whoop some. It's especially interesting seeing X look up to his future boss, as he must have alot of respect for him. Too bad we know what Sigma will turn out to be. It's really cool to see him act like the Maverick Hunter he was made to be. Also, Ryan Jampole's art is perfect for X and company. Some shots looked uncanny to Official Megaman X art. Kudos to Ryan. I eagerly anticipate Issue 40 and see how things end for both Megaman and X.

Just read through 40. I was rather pleased with the crossover. Wasn't what I was expecting and didn't really break anything continuity wise. I did however love the quips between Zero and Vile throughout this whole arc. I really hope we get a MMX comic now. My wallet with cry with having to get two more issues a month, but dang, they writing, the Vile, I love it.
