I'm afraid I never liked Skull man. With Wily's symble being the skull and all the skull walkers, skull castles etc, it felt like Wily was running out of ideas, might as well call him trademark man  . I also personally felt the revolving skull barrier was a wee bit hoky as well. I don't know why, sinse it's no sillier than surrounding yourself with revolving leaves or stars, and unlike most barrier bosses Skull man did at least know how to use his barrier weapon effectively, but it always felt a bit too off to me for some reason, or maybe it's just whenever I hear the phrase "skull man" I am always thinking of something like Skeletor and being continually disappointed . Elec man is certainly the toughest and most efficient robot of the original game, for all I've never got the pause resume trick to work on the mm aniversary collection so I miss at least some of what seems to be his popularity. However, my problem with Elec man is just the idea "An electric robot" ---- oooh how original. He doesn't even have the fun lightning rod thing sparkman does, or the crazy turn into magnet that magnet man does. Maybe it's just that I played x3 before mm1, so prefer my electricity in cat fish form, . |

One of my worst memories about robot masters is Ring Man,I hate his stage, boss battle and his weapon is not a really great weapon to me.
Another one is Gravity Man,dude he looks like he want to do some...you know and i think i am the only player who beat him with Power Stone. Oh yeah !

I'm amazed you hit anything with powerstone, that is imho the crappiest weapon of the entire series, especially gravety man, indeed I think Gravity man is probably one of the occasions where using the weakness weapon is harder than just giving him the one two with the Mega buster.
I've now obtained Mega man 2 for the gb, and as soon as I can find a spare scart cable for my gamecube I'll be giving that one a try, hurrah!

I can't agree with aquaman ONLY because his stage theme is once of my top 10 megaman songs. however i do agree with alot yours. I'll list my 10, and explain my 5 10. Tornadoman 9. Topman 8. Groundman 7. Ringman 6. Shadowman 5. Flashman - the stage theme is epic, and hey, he stops time, hardly gets better than that. 4. Elecman - one of the toughest to beat, and just a cool design 3. Turboman - seriously, he's basically a transformer, and packs a punch! the flamewheel is cool 2. Freezeman - the way he busts out his ice coffin, and taunts you until you move 1st is just epic. love his moveset too 1. Tengu Man - LOVE his stages, and the tornado hold is an awesome weapon. plus just look at him, sweet design. ps i HATE DUSTMAN SO MUCH! |

Great list, Sakuraman, even though I'm not really a fan of Skull Man. Air Man, Napalm Man, and Concrete Man seem much cooler to me. Especially Napalm Man even with his campy tank-tread feet.
How would you rate all of the classic series robot master stages (excluding MM&Bass and the DOS games and the GameBoy games), from worst to best?? And anyone can jump in with their personal list if they want to.
